Recipe for Banana Tea Bread (Kele ka Cake)
Ingredients: 250 gm over ripe bananas250 gm castor sugar2 eggs1 1/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda100 ml milk60 ml oil125 gm flour125 gm whole wheat flour1 tsp cinnamon powder1/2 tsp ginger powder1 tsp vanilla essence
Method:
Puree the bananas and sugar together until smooth. Stir in remaining ingredients. Beat well for 1 minuteTurn into a 1/2 kg loaf tin, which should be lightly oiled and lined with butter paper. Bake at 180 degrees centigrade for 20 minutes or until golden in colour and firm to touch Cool for 5 minutes before turning onto wire rack
